Ocean Winds is the result of a joint venture between EDPR S.A. and ENGIE S.A.. The company is developing offshore wind projects in the pipeline (6.6 GW) and under development (1.5 GW). The aim is to increase the volume of projects in operation or under development to 5-7 GW by 2025 and projects preparatory stage to 5-10 GW. In Poland, OW is developing the BC-Wind project with a capacity of up to 399 MW. In June 2021, the project received the right to CfD from the Energy Regulatory Office, thanks to which it will be one of the first offshore investments in Poland.
