Oceans Winds

Ocean Winds is the result of a joint venture between EDPR S.A. and ENGIE S.A.. The company is developing offshore wind projects in the pipeline (6.6 GW) and under development (1.5 GW). The aim is to increase the volume of projects in operation or under development to 5-7 GW by 2025 and projects preparatory stage to 5-10 GW. In Poland, OW is developing the BC-Wind project with a capacity of up to 399 MW. In June 2021, the project received the right to CfD from the Energy Regulatory Office, thanks to which it will be one of the first offshore investments in Poland. PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna is the largest energy enterprise in Poland, supplier of electricity and heat to more than 5 million customers and leader of change in the Polish energy industry. Orlen Neptun I

In order to implement its business strategy in offshore wind, PKN ORLEN has consolidated its special purpose vehicles and established a new entity – ORLEN Neptun I. The company consolidates existing projects and activities related to development of Phase II offshore wind projects. SPVs from the ORLEN Group submitted a total of 11 offshore location licence applications in the Polish exclusive economic zone, with an estimated total capacity of over 10 GW.
ORLEN Group acquires competence in offshore wind by developing the Baltic Power project – an offshore wind farm with the capacity of up to 1.2 GW.

The company supports Poland’s green transformation by investing with PGE in the Baltica Offshore Wind Farm of the capacity up to 2.5 GW, and together with energy group ZE PAK applied for location permits for the construction of farms in the Baltic Sea as part of the second phase of market development.
